To celebrate our nation's 45th year of independence, East Spring had organized inter-class games for the upper secondary students. Whether it is captain's ball, soccer or basketball, students participated spontaneously.
On 3rd August 2010, every upper secondary class stayed back after school for the preliminary round. Many students on the ground floor were psyched up; some were training hard to get to the semi finals. Everyone seemed to experience different emotions, however, their emotions did not affect their goal, that is, to achieve champion to bring honor back to their class.
When the competition started, everyone gathered at their own courts to play. Those classes waiting nervously for their turn next trained again and again, hoping to win. While those playing, they were sweating as though they were just out of the shower, as well as having injuries. They tolerated the pain; ignore the thoughts of the muscles ache they were going to have, because their mindset was clear, nothing but honor to class.
After the intense match, classes cheering loudly for they had won the match, there are too classes who lost, however, they displayed great sportsmanship. Instead of thinking negatively, classes who had lost thank their opponents with a smile, telling themselves it was a good game. They had played the match to their fullest, nothing is lost, but several things were gained.
Students had gained respect for each other, including those they do not know. Also to display sportsmanship when playing a game. Last but not least, the greatest quality, friendship coming from anywhere.
East Spring is definitely proud to have students displaying these qualities. A job well done East Springians!

ReplyDeleteHEYHEY! TOMATO.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME ARTICLE. You elaborated on how intense the game was and also expressed well on the students participation on the games. Great description on the excitement of the games.
Maybe you can add interview of people like how they felt and everything. You can also add picures to make it more interesting! :D

HI I AM HERE TO GIVE YOU A VERY CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENT.
ReplyDeleteDear Fion Tomato,
Your article is very well written. You described very well on the emotions of the players. Describing how nervous they felt and how excited and relieved that they had won a match. It was good with all the descriptive phrases that you used.
You can try adding an interview of how a player felt after winning/losing - how they felt during the game.
OK THE END.
KEEP IT UP. YOU CAN GO A VERY LONG LONG LONG WAY WITH THIS ARTICLE TOO. YAY.
Bunny.
